Greenwich Seminar Empowers Youth on Mental Health and Digital Safety

Tackling some of the most pressing issues facing young people today, a summer seminar provided a vital forum for youth at the St Alfege Church in Greenwich on 12th July 2025. With a theme focused on “The impact of social media, mental health awareness, social issues and safety,” the event welcomed young men and women between the ages of 9 and 28. It was designed as a fun and interactive session, creating a comfortable and engaging atmosphere for attendees to explore these complex topics and gain valuable insights relevant to their daily lives.
The seminar’s success was driven by a panel of distinguished guest speakers who shared their personal perspectives and engaged with the attendees. Rose Amony, Aisha Nabunya, Danial Kazibwe, and Ivan Kyeyune led the discussions, offering guidance on how to safely navigate the digital world, recognise the importance of mental wellbeing, and address challenging social situations. By fostering an open dialogue, the event empowered attendees with the knowledge and confidence to protect themselves and support their peers, reinforcing ITVYP’s commitment to the health and safety of the younger generation.
