ITVYP at the Uganda vs Malawi football match

On Sunday, 9th November, the atmosphere at the New River Leisure Centre in London was electric. While the crowds gathered to watch the highly anticipated football match between Uganda and Malawi, the team from ITVYP was there with a specific goal in mind: connecting with the next generation.

Amidst the excitement of the game, the live DJ, and the food stalls, our team was on the ground to engage with the local youth attending the match.

Throughout the afternoon, from kick-off until the evening, we spoke to a significant number of young people about the work ITVYP is doing in the community.

During our outreach, we were encouraged by the level of interest in our upcoming initiatives. Many of the youth we spoke with expressed a strong desire for more spaces where they can network, share their creative talents, and receive mentorship.

We took the opportunity to highlight our upcoming youth events, which are designed to tackle core issues such as:

  • Mental Health & Digital Safety: Helping youth navigate the modern world.
  • Education & Career Guidance: Prioritizing academic success and professional growth.
  • Social Connection: Creating safe spaces for networking and community building.
