ITVYP and Positive East at 75 Derby Radio

In celebration of World AIDS Day on 1st December 2025, the It Takes a Village Youth and Parents (ITVYP) Forum was honoured to host Positive East for an insightful and vital broadcast on 75 Derby Radio. As a community dedicated to supporting families from migrant and marginalised backgrounds, we recognize that open dialogue is the first step in dismantling the stigma often surrounding HIV. This collaboration provided a safe, accessible platform for our community to engage with experts and gain life-saving knowledge

During the session, the team from Positive East  took time to raise awareness, addressing the unique challenges faced by our youth and parents today. The airwaves were filled with meaningful conversation as the audience called in with diverse questions—ranging from modern prevention methods like PrEP to understanding the reality of living a healthy life with HIV. By bringing these experts into our “village,” we were able to replace fear with facts and ensure our community feels empowered rather than isolated.
