On Saturday, 20th June 2026, ITVYP, in partnership with the Gifted and Talented Foundation Africa, hosted a transformative community workshop at the Meridian Sports & Social Club in Charlton, London. Led by guest speaker Mrs. Ngoma Sarah, Director of the Gifted and Talented Foundation Africa, the session focused on the crucial topic of safeguarding children and young people. Bringing together local parents, youth advocates, and community leaders, the event highlighted the collective duty required to ensure every child grows up in a secure, supportive, and nurturing environment.

Under the core message that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, the interactive workshop empowered attendees with practical tools to identify potential risks, address mental health concerns, and create safe spaces for dialogue within households and wider communities.

Mrs. Ngoma Sarah emphasized how early intervention, vigilance, and cross-organization collaboration are essential to keeping young people safe from harm. By uniting grassroots expertise with community action, ITVYP and the Gifted and Talented Foundation Africa reaffirmed their shared commitment to protecting youth wellbeing, strengthening family networks, and ensuring that no child falls through the cracks.
